Bethesda Might Get Sued Over Fallout 76
Fallout 76 is, well, a tiny bit of a trainwreck, all things considered, but that doesn’t mean developers are in the clear once the dust settles, as a law firm is now looking into suing Bethesda for refusing to issue refunds for PC purchasers of Fallout 76.
Bethesda sued over Fallout 76 sounds like a fever dream, but it may well happen, far as Migliaccio & Rathod is concerned. For a law firm like this, winning a class action lawsuit against a behemoth such as Bethesda would be a major addition to their portfolio, so it’s not weird to see them motivated.
The law firm announced their plans to look into the way Bethesda handled the release of Fallout 76 via Reddit, and they’ve shared their reasoning for doing so: “Migliaccio & Rathod LLP is currently investigating Bethesda Game Studios for releasing a heavily-glitched game, Fallout 76, and refusing to issue refunds for PC purchasers of the game who found it to be unplayable because of its technical problems.”
According to their update, the response was considerable: “We are thrilled with the response to the investigation but our site appears to have crashed, potentially related to the traffic generated.” This is not odd at all, as the Reddit post is now sitting at 2.3k comments and 16.2k upvotes. All in all – people are very unhappy with Fallout 76.
All we can do right now is sit back and watch the drama as it unfolds, because as it stands, things are getting really heated.
