Fortnite fans are counting down to the release of the first Season 7 teaser.

According to the in-game timer, Season 6 of Fortnite officially ends on the morning of December 6.

And while the Season 7 release date is yet to be revealed, Epic Games is gearing up to release new teasers for the upcoming event.

One source believes the first teaser will be revealed later today (December 3).

Fortnite: Battle Royale Leaks suggests the first Season 7 teaser will drop at 3pm GMT on December 3.

This will be followed by fresh teasers throughout the week.

In fact, the full Fortnite Season 7 teaser trailer could be revealed at The Game Awards on December 6.

During a recent Q&A session, The Game Awards host Geoff Keighley confirmed that big Fortnite news was inbound during the show.

“Fortnite actually got announced by CliffyB at the VGAs 2011,” he said (via Fortnite News).

“Very different game but yeah it was announced back then and we’re excited that they will be a part of the show – we definitely have some Fortnite news, Donald Mustard will be here, they are a nominee as well so stay tuned for that.”

Keighley would subsequently confirm that Epic Games would make a Fortnite announcement.

“Yes, there will be Fortnite news at The Game Awards,” he continues. “I don’t think we’ve publicly said that yet but uh – yeah there will be stuff around Fortnite.”

One thing we can be almost certain about is that Season 7 will have some sort of winter theme and setting.

The most recent Fortnite update added an Iceberg, which can be found off the south coast of the Fortnite map.

The iceberg has a castle on top, and is accompanied by a distant snowstorm, which gets closer every day.

Fortnite fans will find out more about Season 7 this week, so stay tuned for more information.
