Fans have been confused of late, with reports a few months ago that Cavill was leaving the Superman role.
However, the star himself posted a cryptic Instagram post of him holding a Man of Steel doll, seeming to imply he wasn’t done.
Meanwhile, his agent also affirmed this, with speculation by some abounding that this was part of a contract negotiation ploy so Warner Bros would give him a better deal.
Then in October Variety’s sources claimed that both Affleck and Cavill were out as Batman and Superman.

The outlet claims: “Warner Bros. has been reevaluating its approach to making movies based on DC Comics characters.
“The studio is not moving forward with Batman and Superman movies featuring Ben Affleck and Henry Cavill, respectively.
“It is expected to recast the Dark Knight with a different actor.”
However, with Momoa’s affirmation, it sounds like Cavill will continue on as Superman for now.
