Fans can look forward to the release of a new Fortnite Season 7 update this week on PS4, Xbox One, PC, Nintendo Switch and Mobile.

Epic Games has confirmed no current downtime schedule for patch 7.10, so it sounds like players don’t need to worry about servers going offline.

Fortnite players are usually warned in advance if there is to be scheduled maintenance on all platforms.

However, today’s announcement negates any mentions of downtime, meaning we can probably expect this to be a content update.

So if there is no server downtime, players should receive the new Fortnite update at around 10am tomorrow, December 18.

“Almost time to shred! The v7.10 update slides in on December 18 at 5AM ET(1000 UTC),” the official Epic Games announcement reads.

Players should get access to both the update and patch notes at near the same time.

The patch notes will list all the major changes and will confirm all the new content being added to the game.

So far, we know that Epic Games are planning to add a new vehicle to the game.

This would be the Driftboard, which has now been confirmed as being included in the 7.10 patch.

Epic Games teased a snowboard would be part of Season 7 in the various teasers they dropped before release.

And now Battle Royale has been updated with the official announcement that the new Fortnite Driftboard will be added this week.

“Hop on board and boost past your competition with this new single player vehicle!” the official in-game description reads.

From the looks of it, it would appear that the Diftboard will be available to use across the map and not just a tool for the snowy slopes.

There is also a chance that more stuff will be added to the new Fortnite Creative Mode, or we might see the first creations added to the map.

Fortnite Creative allows players to design new games, race around the island, as well as battle their friends in new ways.

This all happens on their own private island where everything you make is saved from session to session.

This mode is currently available to all Season 7 Fortnite players who are up to date with patches.
