'A Hat In Time's Newest Trailer Slots Itself In For a 2017 Release
Worried about the silence surrounding A Hat in Time? Don’t be! It’s coming next year, and there’s a trailer to prove it.
With the somewhat recent success of cartoony classics like Castle Crashers and Battleblock Theatre, Gears for Breakfast’s ‘A Hat in Time’ slashed Kickstarter records when it received 1000% the support it needed through its crowdfunding efforts.
Originally planned for a 2013 release, it’s safe to say the title bite of more than it could chew. Now slated for release next year, it’s safe to say the lack of mention from its developer wasn’t due to a lack of progress.

Telling the tell of a girl blessed with the capabilities of interstellar travel. Requiring the power of ‘time pieces’ to fuel her spaceship’s time-travelling capabilities, you’re left exploring the games open platforming spaces in an attempt to recover the scattered fuel when the flying boat tax man comes a’ knockin’. It may have been overshadowed by the reveal of the ‘Rare-Revival’ of Yooka-Laylee, but many are still awaiting the game folks say feels more like a first-party Nintendo platformer than a third-party N64 throwback.
