That lot at MachineGames know how to put together a stone-cold killer of a game trailer, and Wolfenstein: Youngblood’s E3 2019 footage is an ultra-violent tour de force.
Wolfenstein’s delicious brand of Nazi-slaying will take us to the streets of 1980’s Paris, playable alone or in full co-op from start to bloody end. BJ Blazkowicz’s twin daughters are trying their father down at his last known whereabouts, liberating Paris from its fascist rulers in the process. Birds of a feather stomp Nazis together, or something along those lines.
Known as the ‘Terror Twins’, Jess and Soph Blazkowicz have access to an upgraded arsenal of weapons and improved abilities in what appears to be a more frenetic take on Wolfenstein. It all looks kind of magnificent, to be honest, and the prospect of co-op play should take Youngblood in directions that just weren’t possible in earlier titles.
Wolfenstein: Youngblood comes to PC, PS4, Xbox One, and Switch, on July 26th. System requirements for Wolfenstein: Youngblood have yet to be revealed, although we’re expecting them to be roughly in line with Wolfenstein: The New Colossus.
