It’s that time of the year where the lack of football is physically beginning to gnaw away at me. But, have no fear, we’re just days away from football leagues around the world kicking off in earnest, while EA Sports is preparing FIFA 20 for launch on September 23rd. Expect higher-fidelity visuals, improved ball physics, refined controls, and some glorious street football.

As ever with these games, FIFA 20 has a low bar to meet for system specs. If you’re in any doubt as to whether your PC can run FIFA 2020 though then here are PC system requirements.

FIFA 20 Minimum System Requirements

OS: Windows 7 64-bit CPU: Intel Core i3-2100 3.1 GHz or AMD Phenom II X4 965 3.4 GHz RAM: 8 GB System Memory GPU RAM: 2 GB Video Memory GPU: GeForce GTX 660 or Radeon HD 7850 DX: DirectX 11 HDD: 50GB Available Hard Drive Space

FIFA 20 Recommended System Requirements

OS: Windows 10 64-bit CPU: Intel Core i5-3550 3.3GHz or AMD FX-8150 3.6 GHz RAM: 8 GB System Memory GPU RAM: 2 GB Video Memory GPU: Nvidia GeForce GTX 670 or AMD Radeon R9 270X DX: DirectX 12 HDD: 50GB Available Hard Drive Space

As with every FIFA for the past four or five years, FIFA 20 will be running on the Frostbite 3 game engine. A matter of evolution rather than revolution, FIFA 20 has ever-so-slightly higher system requirements than FIFA 19, although there’s really not much in it. You can rest assured that if you could achieve playable frame rates in FIFA 19, you can expect much the same from FIFA 20.

FIFA 20 requires a Radeon R9 270X or GeForce GTX 670 graphics card with a Core i5-3550 3.3GHz or FX-8150 processor to reach the recommended specs, achieving high graphics setting on 1080p. The suggested GPUs are exactly the same as FIFA 2019, while the recommended CPUs have been upped very slightly.

The RAM requirements are at least 8 GB memory across the board, whether you’re targeting minimum or recommended. We reckon you can probably get away with 4-6 GB though.

All told, FIFA 20 will need hardware that is a 7-year-old PC or newer to run recommended, so just about everyone should be able to play this without a hitch.

As ever, remember you can always check out how well your PC can run FIFA 20 System Requirements here, where you can check benchmarking and performance from other users.
